HERE ARE A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE EASY FARM SNACK RECEIPES.
HAYSTACKS

Prep Time: 3 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 2 cups chow mein noodles

Preparation:

Microwave the butterscotch chips and peanut butter on 50 percent power for 3 to 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and blend to coat noodles thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper  cool and serve 
PIGS IN A BLANKET
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Serving Description: makes approximately 30 hot dogs
Ingredients
- 1 package small cocktail wieners
- 1/2 cup shredded colby jack cheese
- 2 packages crescent rolls
 

favorite barbecue sauce for dipping

Directions
  • Unroll crescent rolls.
  • Cut each crescent roll into thirds, making 3 small, long triangle strips.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over triangles.
  • Starting at one end, roll hot dogs in crescent.
  • Place on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve with barbecue sauce or ketchup for dipping

NEST WITH EGGS

Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a suacepan.  Add 1 cup brown sugar.  Boil and stir for one minute.  Add a 3 oz. can of chow mein noodles.  Put the mixture in 12 paper baking cups in a muffin tin.  Use your thumb to press noodles into the nest shape while still warm.  DO NOT BAKE..  Place jelly beans or your favorite egg shaped candies in each nest and serve.

FEED BAGS

Fill small brown paper lunch bags with party mix, animal crackers, pretzels and fruit nacks.  Fold the tops over.  Use a black or brown marker to write "FEED" across the bag or be creative and design your own "country feed store" logo to put on each bag.
